LINCOLN – Delaware State Police homicide detectives are investigating the death of a 34-year-old man who died from a gunshot wound.
Troopers dispatched Wednesday, July 10 at 8:36 p.m. to a residence in the 15000 block of Winner Circle in Lincoln found the 34-year-old with a gunshot wound. He was taken to Sussex Bayhealth Hospital in Milford and later transported to the Christiana Hospital where he succumbed to his injury, state police spokeswoman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said.
Police are withholding the victim’s name pending the notification of next of kin, Cpl. Jaffe said.
The investigation is in its early stages. Further information will be released as it becomes available. There is no threat or concern to the public’s safety, Cpl. Jaffe said.
