CRISFIELD - Lillian C. Evans, 81, of Crisfield, died Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury.
Born July 15, 1925, in Baltimore, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Cora Murray Bailes. Her husband, Donald C. Evans Sr., died in September 1967.
She was a homemaker, and in her later years enjoyed catering for many families and organizations in the community. She was a faithful member of Immanuel United Methodist Church in Crisfield, where she served on the United Methodist Women and was active with Circle 1. She was also a member of the former Chesapeake Chapter 28 Order of Eastern Star in Crisfield.
She is survived by three children, Donald C. Evans, Jr. and Thomas Evans and his fiancé Deborah Donnelly, all of Crisfield, and Mary Anne Johnson and her husband James of Salisbury; four grandchildren, Erik Evans of Washington, Andrea Evans of Salisbury, Lauren Evans of Crisfield and Kelsey Johnson of Salisbury; two brothers, Thomas R. Bailes Jr. of Dundalk and Robert M. Bailes of Baltimore; and nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services and interment were held May 15, 2007, at Sunnyridge Memorial Park in Crisfield. The Rev. Bill Davis officiated. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Immanuel United Methodist Church, Kitchen Fund, 206 W. Main Street, Crisfield, MD 21817.
