LETTER TO THE EDITOR: Eagles are for the Birds

As a senior, I've been watching NFL football since before the face mask. I have to comment on the Philadelphia Eagles team trying to embarrass our president by not attending the gala for them at the White House. I wish there was some way to let that team know:  I understand your right to protest but I think your manners are horrible. You've disappointed and insulted ME! Others like you who dislike President Trump simply ignore all he has accomplished in just over 500 days. So you dislike him, fine. But show a little respect and while you're at it...grow up! You are vastly overrating your importance. As for you Democrats who just can't get over the loss of the presidency and houses of Congress...you lost! Suck it up.
