DOVER - Leroy Coley, Jr. went home to be with The Lord on Wed., Mar. 6, 2013. Leroy, "Pinny," as he was known to his family, was born May 27, 1948 in Narcoossee, Fla. to the late Eva Mae Leggett and Leroy Coley Sr. He was raised by his grandmother, the late Golden Lewis. He attended Kissimmee High School. He was an intelligent, ambitious and tough man who loved reminiscing about Florida, Landscaping, Westerns and most of all his children and grandchildren. He had a gift for Landscaping and Owned Leroy Coley & Sons Landscaping. He was a faithful member of Community Christian Worship Center at Capitol Park. He will be dearly missed. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Coley; grandmother, Golden Lewis; his mother and father; sister, Gladys Eady; brother, Johnnie Leggett; and aunt Marg Tucker. He is survived by daughters, Shanaia and Janaia; Deanne (Ivan) of Dover and Larae of Dover; sons, Phillip(Ruthie) of Dover, Steven of Dover, and Leroy III (Gina) of Smyrna; sisters, Carolyn(Bobby)Jones of Calif.; Annie Leggett of Fla. and Shirley (Bill) McMillan of Calif.; brothers, Harvey (Tanida) Leggett of Smyrna; Kenny (Sylvia) Leggett of Fla. and James Leggett of Fla.; grandchildren, Deandre, Javon, Alliyah, Drucilla, Allexxus, Amera, Jaida, Ivy, and Ivan Jr.; great-grandaughter, Ava; special friends Loretta Emory, Turquoise Wright, Gloria Emory and their children; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a hosts of friends. A public viewing will be 4 to 6 p.m. Sat., Mar. 16, 2013 at Bennie Smith Funeral Home 717 W. Division St., Dover; with Funeral services at the same location on Sun., Mar. 17, 2013 at 3 p.m. Reverend Johnny Woods, Officiating. www.benniesmithfuneralhome.com
