Grigsby, 74 DOVER - Leonard Alphonzo Grigsby, of Dover, died Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at Kent General Hospital. He was 74. Mr. Grigsby was born Sept. 21, 1937, in Dover, to the late Leonard M. Grigsby and Edna Mae Carney Grigsby. He lived his whole life in Cheswold. He had worked as a mechanic at the Chrysler Plant for 33 years retiring in 1994. Mr. Grigsby enjoyed antiques, working on cars and working in his vegetable garden. He also had a fascination for watches and clocks and had a collection of both. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Randel Hilton, Aug. 10, 2010. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ellen Lillian Reed Grigsby of Dover; daughters, Edna Lillian Rohrbach and her husband Howard II of Magnolia, Virginia Lynn Pleasanton and her husband Carl of Felton; and grandchildren, Nickolas Grigsby, Edna Christine Perrusquia, and Leonard Kyle Pleasanton. Funeral services will be noon, Saturday, March 3, 2012, at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Friends may call one hour prior. Interment will be in the Immanuel Union United Methodist Church Cemetery, Cheswold. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions made to the American Cancer Society, 92 Reads Way #205, New Castle, DE 19720. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.com.
