Lazarus Ampatzidis, 65

GREENWOOD - Lazarus Ampatzidis, of Greenwood, died Tuesday, Sept. 15, at Bayhealth-Milford Memorial Hospital. He was 65. He was born in Gerakario, Greece, to the late Anastasios and Evangelia Ampatzidis. Mr. Ampatzidis was the owner of Piezanos Pizza and Subs in Dover. He will be remembered as a kind, caring, and loving husband, uncle, brother-in-law and friend. He is survived by his loving wife, Aristea "Tia" Ampatzidis; nieces, Olivia Hill, who was also his God Daughter, of Lincoln, Zoi Hill of Lincoln, and Efi Katsampis of Greece; nephew, Bobby Haralabidis of Greece; brother, Theodore Mina of Greece; and sister, Anastasia Haralabidis of Greece. Services were Sept. 17, at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 S. DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Interment will be private.
