SLAUGHTER NECK - Lawrence Oliver Young, son of the late Roy and Ada Cephas Young was born on February 6, 1927 in Lincoln, Delaware. He was the eldest of four children to this union. The angels called him home on Friday, March 13, 2015. He leaves to cherish in his fond memories, companion Winifred Slayton; daughter, Monica Slayton; sons, Robert and Alan Bolden, Albert Flemming, and Richard Ross; stepchildren, Norman Slayton, Phyllis Slayton, Glenn (Regina) Slayton, and Kathleen Slayton; grandchildren, Terrance (Christina) Slayton, Lawrence Slayton, Matthew Slayton, Stephen and Stepfon Hazzard, Reginald (Keyshea) Slayton and Pansey Slayton, Michael and Joseph Slayton, and Celijah and Tracey Hammond; nieces and nephews, Rita Smith, Joann Worthy, Kevin Suarez, Paulette Suarez, Ada Suarez, Shaun Suarez, Michael Smith, and Clarence Young, Jr.; ten great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Viewing is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., Friday, March 20, 2015 at Siloam A.M.E. Church Lincoln. Service is 12 p.m., Saturday, March 21, 2015 at Welcome Full Gospel Holiness Church Lincoln, with a viewing from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Internment will be in Siloam Cemetery Lincoln. Services Entrusted to McPherson Funeral Services Milford.
