'Larry' Kibler, Sr., 70 DOVER - Lawrence "Larry" Kibler, Sr. passed away on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Bayhealth-Kent General Hospital. Mr. Kibler served his country proudly in the National Guards. He was also an active and proud member of the Civil Air Patrol (C.A.P.). He loved flying and participating with search and rescues. Oftentimes he worked hand in hand with FEMA and DEMA. Mr. Kibler was an electrician for DuPonts. He was a hard worker and enjoyed his job. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on his computer and reading. His personal library contained countless books. Mr. Kibler was also a talented cook. He not only enjoyed cooking, but also eating what he cooked. He had quite the collection of recipes, and enjoyed sharing them with friends and family. He was good friends with many people and enjoyed being around his family. He will be sadly missed. He was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence B. Kibler; sister, Patty Mintz. Survivors include his mother, Betty (Spiering) Mintz of Harrington; ex-wife, Betty Bennett of Harrington; son, Lawrence "Larry" Kibler Jr. and his wife Judy of Magnolia; brothers, Tony Kibler and wife Rose of Milford, Arthur Mintz of Felton; sister, Sharon Driscoll and husband Jack of Berlin, Md. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thurs., March 7, 2013 at Melvin Funeral Home, 15522 South DuPont Hwy., Harrington. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service.
