Luzier, 20 DOVER - Lauren Elizabeth Luzier passed away on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2012 at Christina Hospital in Newark, Delaware. Lauren was born on May 29, 1992 in Mt. Holly, New Jersey to Craig and Sandy Luzier. She was a beautiful girl who spread happiness where ever she went and to whomever she met. The early years of her life were spent in Columbus, Mississippi where her two younger sisters, Alexandra and Sierra, were born. To this day, the three of them remain best friends and share an unbreakable bond. When Lauren was six, her family moved to Dover where Lauren started first grade in the Capital School District. As much as she may have complained, Lauren loved school. She was an avid reader and an extremely brilliant student. She often read the same series of books more than once. Lauren was also very involved with her church's youth group, participating in such events as Vacation Bible School, youth group, and many church plays. She is fondly remembered by her Godfather for her role in a Christmas play where she jumped on stage and yelled, "Shazam!" to announce the birth of Christ. Such a move was symbolic of Lauren. Additionally, she loved traveling with her youth group to visit Massanetta Springs in Virginia. At Dover High, Lauren was a National Honor Student and an AP Scholar. She loved being involved in the school's social activities. To these activities, she brought all her enthusiasm and vigor. Her passion for school earned her the admiration of her peers as well as her teachers. Lauren graduated from Dover High in June of 2010. She was planning to attend the University of Delaware; however, that same summer, her plans were abruptly cut short in a car accident in which she suffered traumatic brain injury. She spent the next two years under the loving care of her parents, family, doctors and nurses trying to rehabilitate. Lauren had her daddy's sense of humor and lust for life. In her too short life, she enjoyed doing things with her immediate and extended family; she traveled and experienced more things than most can say. Her parents and her sisters, her huge extended family, and many, many friends survive her. She is missed so very much. A memorial service in her honor will be held Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 at 4 p.m. at the Presbyterian Church of Dover, 55 S. State Street, Dover. In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions be made to LEL Foundation, 165 E. Monument Street, Baltimore, Md. 21202 Letters of condolence may be sent and the guestbook signed at www.torbertfuneral.c
