LAUREL — A 40-year-old Laurel man was arrested after a robbery at a truck stop early Tuesday, Delaware State Police said.
Police said that a suspect entered the Oasis Travel Plaza at 30759 Sussex Highway at approximately 1:58 a.m., and committed a robbery before fleeing the scene. No injuries were reported, police said.
At approximately 9 a.m., authorities said, Seaford Police responded to a robbery at the M&T Bank located at 22920 Sussex Highway for a robbery involving the same suspect.
Police investigation determined that Toshawn Furlow was the suspect and he was taken into custody without incident at an apartment, authorities said.
Mr. Furlow was charged with first-degree robbery, theft under $1,500 (two counts) and menacing. He was committed to Sussex Correctional Institution on $62,100 cash bond.
Mr. Furlow also faced additional charges of robbery (felony), terroristic threatening (felony), and theft from the Seaford Police Department for the robbery of the M&T Bank, authorities said.
