Larry T. Stewart, 75 SALISBURY - Larry T. "Pops" Stewart, 75, of Salisbury and formerly of Deal Island, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2020, at TidalHealth Peninsula Regional in Salisbury. Born in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Phillip E. and Frances Hardesty Stewart. He graduated from college with a degree in Math, completed the ROTC program and was appointed a Lieutenant in the U.S. Army Reserves in 1968. He served in the 5th Cavalry, 9th Infantry Division in Vietnam. He worked at Acme Markets in Baltimore and was retired from the state of Maryland Division of Correction, where he taught furniture restoration to inmates. He was a lifetime member of the Fruitland Tony Tank Tribe No. 149 of Redmen and St. John's Church in Deal Island. He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Daisey Stewart; children, Timothy Stewart of Severn, Md., Kelly M. Bandaru of Kissimmee, Fla., and Juanita Stino; eight grandchildren; sisters, Francine Stinehiser of Greensburg, Pa., and Laura Stewart of Baltimore; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Phillip Stewart of Washington, D.C.; and a son, Bradley Stewart. Arrangements are in the care of Hinman Funeral Home in Princess Anne.
