Larry A. 'Butch' Scott, 61

CLAYTON - Larry A. "Butch" Scott, of Clayton, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was 61. Butch was born July 17, 1948, in Wilmington. Butch enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. He also enjoyed watching Western movies on TV and playing video games with his grandchildren. His favorite game was "Maple Story." Butch was proud to reach the games highest levels before his grandkids could. He was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, who raised him; and his son, Andrew Scott who died in February 2007. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Jane Scott; a son, Larry Lee Scott of Clayton; his mother-in-law, Mary Jane Oakman of Smyrna; one brother; six sisters; and three grandchildren, Chris, Joseph, and Caitlyn. Funeral services will be 8 p.m., Thursday Sept. 10, in the Faries Funeral Chapel located at 29 South Main Street, Smyrna. Friends are welcome to call at 7 p.m., and the viewing will continue after the services until 9 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice, 911 South DuPont Highway, Dover, DE 19904.
