The Knowledge Matters Campaign has announced visits to three Delaware school districts that have implemented high-quality math curricula.
Comprising the campaign’s first mathematics-focused tour, the visits will showcase schools improving student engagement and achievement in math through their implementation of high-quality instructional materials.
The campaign will visit Caesar Rodney School District Monday and Tuesday, the Appoquinimink School District on Wednesday and Thursday and the Brandywine School District on March 29-30.
The districts selected serve as models for the state’s strategic shift to high-quality instruction. According to the Council of Chief State School Officers, 70% of Delaware students across all grade levels now have access to high-quality math materials.
The tour — whose motto is to “find the good and praise it” — garners national awareness for states and districts implementing high-quality curricula. Since 2018, the tour has visited over 20 districts across the country. Initially focused on English language arts/literacy, the campaign has expanded to highlight science and math in the past year.
