MAGNOLIA - Kenneth R. Smith, of Magnolia, died Wednesday, Nov. 3, 2010, at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. He was 60. Mr. Smith was born June 28, 1950, in Honolulu, Hawaii, to Daisy Dempsey Smith and the late Edward Smith. He had worked as an operator for EZ Pass, but he was an all around handyman who enjoyed helping others. Mr. Smith enjoyed taking scenic rides, wood working, golf, fly fishing and reading. He was a member of the Camden Wyoming Moose Lodge. Mr. Smith is survived by his mother, Daisy N. Smith of Stafford Springs, Conn.; his wife of 40 years, Rita S. Holderbaum Smith of Magnolia; siblings, Edna D. DiRico and her husband Philip of Chicopee Falls, Mass., Charles M. Smith and his wife Christine of Bear, Jay E. Smith and his wife Rosemary of Enfield, Conn., Tina M. Norgren and her husband Keith of Tempe, Ariz., Arland E. Smith of Danielson, Conn., Debra G. Anselmo and her husband Genaro, IV of Stafford, Conn., Linda M. Trask and her husband Steven of Danielson, Conn., James E. Smith of Tempe, Ariz.; mother-in-law, Betty L. Holderbaum of Dover; brothers-in-law, Rodney R. Holderbaum of Dover, Randy P. Holderbaum of Bethany Beach, Rex R. Holderbaum and wife Lillian Killen of Wyoming; many nieces and nephews and his beloved dog and cats, Thunder, Kidder, Casper and Meow. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions be made to Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963.
