Hastings, 47 GEORGETOWN - Kendall Brian Hastings, 47, died suddenly on Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at his home near Georgetown. Brian was born in Tennessee and raised in Sussex County. He lived close to the land, gardening, fishing, and hunting, and he generously shared his bounty with others. As a child, Brian was especially close to his grandfather, and they enjoyed fishing and spending quiet time together. Brian had a rough exterior, but a tender heart, especially for animals and people in need. He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Virginia Sapp Succarotte and Bob Succarotte, of Georgetown; his father and stepmother, Richard and Sandra Hastings, of Jackson, Missouri; his sisters, Sara Hastings Wingate, of Millsboro, and Brittany Hastings, of Jackson, Missouri; stepbrother, Patrick Succarotte; his nephews, Hunter Wingate and Dominic Succarotte; aunts, Betty Hastings, Bev Hastings, Betty Sapp, Sally Woodall, and Barbara Sapp; and extended family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carey and Dot Sapp and Earl and Alma Hastings; and by his uncles, Earl Hastings, Carey Sapp, Jr., and Bob Sapp. Brian was loved and will be missed. May he rest in peace. In lieu of flowers, as services have already been held privately, contributions Brian's memory may be made to: The Georgetown Volunteer Fire Dept. Station 77, PO Box 77, Georgetown, DE 19947.
