Mercer, 3 days SMYRNA - Katrena Elizabeth Mercer went home to be with the Lord at the tender age of 3 days on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013. Katrena was born one of twins with her sister, Kirsten on Tuesday, Jan. 1, 2013 in Newark, Del. the daughter of Steven and Lauren Mercer of Smyrna, Del. She was named using letters from her grandmothers and her great grandmothers. Although her time on earth was short, she touched many hearts with her love. She was a sweet angel, who would grab a hold of your finger to show her love for you. She also loved to cuddle and to listen to you sing to her. She will be buried with her Daddy's shirt that she loved to cuddle with. In addition to her parents and her twin sister, she is survived by her paternal grandparents, Thomas B. and Patricia A. Mercer of Wyoming, Del.; her maternal grandparents, Michael A. and Kathleen M. Novello of Wilmington, Del.; her uncles, James P. Mercer of Chicago, Ill. and Mark A. Novello and his wife Jessica A. of Perry Hall, Md. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Graveside services will be held on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 at 1 p.m. at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Smyrna.
