(Kitty Lou) Cullen, 91 LEWES - Katherine Louise (Kitty Lou) Cullen died June 8, 2012 in Lewes, Del. Mrs. Cullen was the daughter of Jacob Cyrus and Elizabeth Jane (Moyer) Messner. She was raised in Harrington, Del. and resided in Dover after her marriage to the late Armstrong Barratt Cullen, Jr. She was a graduate of Randolph Macon Women's College in Lynchburg, Va. She taught school briefly in Bridgeville, Del. She was active at Christ Church in Dover, serving on the vestry and as head of the alter guild. She was also active in many other Dover groups and charities. Mrs. Cullen is survived by son, A. Barrett (Barry) Cullen, III and his wife Sharon Rose of Rehoboth Beach, Del.; daughters, Ann Robinson Cullen and her husband Leonard Nurmi of Darnestown, Md., Elizabeth Christian Cullen and her husband John Downing of Truckee, Calif.; grandchildren, A. Barratt Cullen, IV, Harper Fisk Cullen, Emma Louise Downing and Jacob Edward Downing. A memorial service will be held Fri., June 21, 2013 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Church, 18 Olive Ave., Rehoboth, DE. Interment at Christ Episcopal Church, Dover, will be private. The family requests that memorial donations be made to Christ Episcopal Church, PO Box 1374, Dover, DE 19903, or All Saints Episcopal Church, 18 Olive Ave., Rehoboth, DE 19971.
