'Lorraine' Nye, 88 DOVER - Katharine 'Lorraine' Nye died Oct. 1, 2012, at Silver Lake Nursing and Rehab. Center in Dover. Born in Allentown, Pa. Mrs. Nye had moved to Dover where she resided for many years. She had retired after working as an Aid at the Dover Modern Maturity Center. She was a kind and gentle woman who enjoyed the time spent with her sons. Her husband, Walter Elsworth Nye, died in 1986 and she was also predeceased by her parents along with two brothers and a sister. Mrs. Nye leaves her three sons, Gary and Jeffrey Nye both of Dover, and Steven Nye of Interlachen, Fla. She is also survived by her grandson, Jeffrey Benezett of Phila., Pa. Services will be held 11 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 5, 2012, in the Cox Parlor located in the First Baptist Church, 301 Walker Rd. Dover, DE 19904 where donations in memory of Mrs. Nye can be forwarded.
