LAUREL — A juvenile male was struck multiple times by gunfire discharged by an unknown suspect Monday, Laurel police spokesman Lt. Tyler Bryan said.
Lt. Bryan said Laurel officers and Delaware State Police troopers were dispatched to the area of Holly Brook Apartments at approximately 11 p.m. for a shots-fired complaint.
Police arrived to find the wounded male of unknown age and, along with citizens, deployed life-saving measures to the victim until EMS arrived to transport him to the TidalHealth Emergency Department.
The investigation continues and police ask anyone with information to call the Laurel Police Department at 302-875-2244 and ask for Lt. Bryan. Information can also be submitted to Delaware Crime Stoppers at 1-800-TIP-3333.
