Joyce O'day Davis of Seaford, DE died on Sunday May 11, 2025 at Delaware Hospice in Milford.
Born on October 7, 1932 in Greenwood, she was the daughter of the late Irvin O'Day and Mildred Shaeffer O'Day. She attended and graduated as Salutatorian from Greenwood High School Class of 1950. She was a homemaker for the early part of her life. She later began working making space suits at ILC and then as a seamstress in the under garment business.
Mrs. Davis was a member of the Seaford Church of the Nazarene, where she was very active in the Church. She enjoyed reading the Bible, doing word search puzzles, cooking for her family.
She is survived by her children Larry Gray and Steven Gray both of Seaford, DE, Gail Dunn and Cindy Leonard (Bill) all of Harrington, DE and David Gray of Bridgeville, DE, a brother Paul O'Day (Barbara), her sisters Linda Horne, Phyllis Brown, Janet Williams and Doris Ross all of Greenwood DE; and Lois Pritchett. 14 Grandchildren, 15 Great-grandchildren and 6 Great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Davis and her sisters, Thelma, Jeanie and Patricia.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday May 20, 2025 at the Framptom Funeral Home Fleischauer Chapel at 1:00PM where a viewing was held for family and friends from 11:00AM until 1:00PM. Burial was in the Denton Cemetery, Denton, MD.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Seaford Church of the Nazarene.
