Joyce Fay Nelson, 60 CRISFIELD - Joyce Fay Nelson, 60, of Crisfield, died Monday, March 8, 2010, at McCready Memorial Hospital in Crisfield. Born Sept. 2, 1949, in Crisfield, she was a daughter of Alverta L. Swift Townsend of Crisfield and the late Wayne S. Townsend. Her husband, Lorin Nelson died in 1992. She was a faithful member of Somerset Free Methodist Church in Crisfield where she enjoyed singing in the choir. She loved holding yard sales in the parking lot of Fresh Pride, going to McDonalds, playing Dominos, and watching The Price Is Right and Wheel of Fortune on television. She was a very sweet person who was loved and will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her mother, Alverta Townsend; her brother, Wayne W. Townsend and his wife Pat; her sister, Elizabeth "Pixie" Smith and her husband Tommy; five nephews, Michael Townsend and his wife Sandy, Stephen, Jeremy and Joshua Townsend and Devin Marshall; two great-nephews, Zachary and Jacob Townsend; all of Crisfield; and a great-niece, Alyssa Townsend of California. Funeral services officiated by The Rev. Sam Horner were held Thursday, March 11, 2010, at Bradshaw & Sons Funeral Home, Crisfield. Interment followed in St. Peter's Cemetery.
