Beck, 87 GEORGETOWN - Josephine "Jodi" Beck, 87, of Georgetown, passed away on Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on September 10, 1928 in Cambridge, Massachusetts, a daughter of the late Pasquale and Carmela DeGiacomo, Italian immigrants. Jodi retired to Georgetown in 1990. Her joy was playing bridge. She volunteered delivering Meals on Wheels for Cheer and also brought therapy dogs to visit seniors. Jodi was a member of Degree of Pocahontas, Anona Council #11 in Georgetown. She was married to Donald E. Beck for 52 years before his death and just recently befriended her ex-husband, George W. Garron, from Lancaster, New Hampshire. This new friendship was a blessing to her children. She is survived by her children, Paula Norman and her husband Allan, from Georgetown and George W. Garron, III and his wife Lucille of Milford; a grandson, George M. Garron of Milford; a granddaughter, Brandi N. Fajardo; and great grandchildren, Jordan, Christian, and Ava, all of Maryland; a sister, Maria Littleton of Watertown, Mass.; and a brother, Angelo DiGiacomo of Boston, Mass. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Paul and Robert DiGiacomo; and a sister, Elizabeth Patterson. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. at the Delaware Memorial Veterans Cemetery in Millsboro on Wednesday, February 24, 2016. Arrangements are in the care of Short Funeral Home in Delmar.
