Harshberger 'Tom', 67 SMYRNA - Joseph Thomas Harshberger 'Tom' was called to be with the Lord on Sunday May 26, 2013. He was born on August 12, 1945 in Chambersburg, Pa., a son of the late Samuel Harshberger and Frances (West) Harshberger. He retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years in 1990. Later, he worked for Lockheed-Martin at the Dover AFB on C5 engines and also assisted in writing technical orders on the C-5 engine systems. He was a member of the VFW and of Asbury United Methodist Church, Smyrna. He was forever a student of nature and an avid weather watcher. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lisa K. (Struckman) Harshberger; their children, Kelly K. Harshberger, of Smyrna; and Joseph E. Harshberger, of Dover; a granddaughter Ariel R. Immel; a brother, Samuel Harshberger, of LaVale, Md.; and a sister, Anne (Harshberger) Welch, of St. Petersburg, Fla. Services were private.
