
Casey, Jr., 42 DOVER - Joseph John Casey, Jr. died Thursday, September 6, 2012, at Kent General Hospital. Joe was born August 19, 1970, in Dover, Del. to Joseph John Casey, Sr. and Marguerite R. Mulloy Casey. He graduated from Dover High School. He also graduated from the University of Delaware with a Business Administration Degree in 1993. Joe was a member of the US Chess Federation and had played in chess tournaments in Las Vegas. He also gave lessons in the Dover and Milford area. Joe was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Dover, he was very active in numerous church ministries with Home Prayer Groups, Thanksgiving Basket Brigade and food bank collection drives. He also volunteered for the Salvation Army ringing the bell during the holidays. Besides chess and his activities at church Joe was a video game fanatic. Joe worked as an office manager for Voshell Brothers Welding in Dover. He is survived by his parents Joseph and Marguerite Casey of Dover; brothers, Russell A. Casey and his wife Shelby of Lake Ariel, Pa. and Phillip J. Casey and his wife Jennifer of Springhill, Tenn.; as well as his beloved 13 year old German Shepherd Austin; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday September 12, 2012, at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 631 S. State Street, Dover, DE. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday evening at Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road (Rt.10), Dover. Interment will be in Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery.
