CLAYTON - Joseph G. Byler was born Feb. 4, 1928 in Middlefield, Ohio, son of the late Dan D. and Elizabeth (Gingerich) Byler, died Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at 7:55 a.m. at home. He was married to the late Barbara S. Byler on Dec. 16, 1948 and lived in matrimony 60 years, 3 mo., and 8 days. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; step-mother; and one brother. He is survived by six daughters; three sons; two sisters; one brother; 60 grandchildren; 95 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and friends, Alma (John) Hershberger, Crab Orchard, Ky., Mary (LeeRoy) Hershberger, Canton, Ohio, Sarah (Eli) Byler, Richfield Springs, N.Y., Joseph Jr. (Esther Coblentz) Byler, Albion, Mich., Sylvia (Truman) Hershberger, Andover, Ohio, Emma (Adam) Miller, Hartly, Del., Barbara Byler, Clayton, Del., of the home, Daniel (Barbara Ann Yoder), Clayton, Del., Andy (Barbara Ann Miller) Byler, Clayton, Del. Friends may call at the family residence, 5122 Judith Road, Clayton until the day of service. Service will be held at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8, 2013 at Eli Yoder residence, 1121 Victory Chapel Road, Dover. Burial will follow at Wiley's Amish Cemetery, Dover. Arrangements are by Pippin Funeral Home, Wyoming.
