DOVER - Joseph Edward "Ed" Adams passed away on Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 in Bayhealth @ Kent General hospital. He was born in Milford the son of the late George F. Sr. and Margaret (Farens) Adams on July 17, 1942. Ed was employed by General Foods, Kraft Division for 31 years, retiring in 1996. He is survived by two brothers, Thomas H. Adams and wife Sharon of Wilmington, and George F. Adams, Jr. and wife Katherine of Aiken, S.C.; nieces and nephews, Thomas Adams Jr., Steven Adams, Christopher Adams, Amy Gleaton, and Andrew Adams; and nine great-nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28, 2012, in the chapel of Berry-Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, with visitation after 12 p.m. Burial will follow in Slaughter Neck Cemetery. The family suggests contributions in Ed's memory to the American Heart Association, for Kent County Delaware, PO Box 15120, Chicago IL, 60693, or to a charity of the donor's choice.
