August, Jr., 22 DOVER - Joseph Douglas "Joey" August, Jr. passed away due to injuries sustained from an unfortunate motorcycle accident on Thursday, July 11, 2013. Mr. August was born Sept. 22, 1990 in Dover, the son of the late Joseph D. August, Sr. and Susan Marie Gilseth of Dover. He worked as a Landscaper for Green Lawn Landscaping. He had plans to enroll in the Landscape Design program at Delaware Tech. Joey could fix anything and had a passion for mechanics. He loved 4 wheeling, snowboarding, and being with his friends. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Stella Ann August; and his step-grandfather, Leon Gilseth. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step father, Dale P. Gilseth, Sr.; his sister, Christina N. Durham; his maternal grandparents, Danny and Lois DeLongis; his paternal grandfather, Douglas M. August; his step-grandmother, Mary Gilseth; two step-brothers, Dale P. Gilseth, II and Shane M. Gilseth; his Nanny; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. A viewing will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna, DE. Funeral services will begin at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Faries Funeral Home 29 S.
