Mahaffey, 25 SMYRNA - Jonathan Eric Mahaffey passed away suddenly Wednesday, Jan. 2, 2013, in his home. Jonathan was born Sept. 8, 1987 in Dover. He was the son of Florence Mahaffey and the late Gary "Junie" Mahaffey, Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Marie and Charles Mahaffey; and his maternal grandparents, Howard H. Reynolds and Helen T. Garboski. He is survived by his mother, Florence Mahaffey of Dover; his mother-in-law, Dianne Pala of Smyrna; two sisters, Sherri Bradley of Smyrna and Amanda Mahaffey of Dover; one brother, Gary Mahaffey, Jr. of Smyrna; his daughter, Anna Marie Mahaffey; three step daughters, Amy Brown, Allison and Ava Poore, all of Smyrna; niece, nephews and friends. A public viewing will be 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at Bennie Smith Funeral Home 717 W. Division St., Dover.
