Pearson, Jr., 61 HARTLY - John W. "Rocky" Pearson, Jr. passed away Monday, Oct. 1, 2012, at his home with his wife, Jean by his side. He was born on June 18, 1951, in Dover. Rocky was an Iron Worker with local 451 in Elsmere, Del. He was a member of American Legion Walter L. Fox Post 2 and a Legion rider member. He was also a member of the Camden-Wyoming Moose Lodge. Rocky was a avid Harley Davidson rider and a NASCAR fan. He served in the United States Marine Corps. having the rank of Lance Corporal and receiving the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. He will be missed by many friends and his loyal dog, Max. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, John W. and Anne G. Pearson, Sr. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Gloria Jean Jamison Pearson of Hartly; brother, Dwayne Pearson of Ark.; and nephew, Jimmy McCarrah of Hartly. Remembrance services will be held Saturday, Oct. 6, 2012, at 1 p.m. at the Trader Funeral Home, 12 Lotus Street, Dover. Burial will be at the Templeville Cemetery, Templeville, Md. Friends may also call Saturday from 11 a.m. until time of the service at the Trader Funeral Home in Dover. The family request that memorial contributions be given to Vitas Hospice 100 Commerce Drive Suite 300 Newark, DE 19971 Letters of condolences may be sent to www.delmarvaobits.com or traderfh@aol.com
