SEAFORD - John L. Williamson died Sunday, Dec. 30, 2012 at Delaware Hospice Center, Milford, Del. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Marie Williamson and graduated from Federalsburg High School class of 1955. He served in the US Army. Mr. Williamson worked at DuPont's in Seaford retiring in 1996. Upon retirement, he began selling real estate throughout Sussex County retiring in 2010. He enjoyed target shooting and gardening and each year would have a large vegetable garden. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Phyllis; two sons, John and Daniel Williamson; and one sister, Mary Wiley. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, 2012 in the chapel of Berry Short Funeral Home, 119 NW Front Street, Milford, Del., where friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. for a viewing. Interment will be Todd's Chapel Greenwood, Delaware. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cancer Society.
