MILLSBORO - John L. Peterson, age 77, of Southern Chester County and Millsboro, Del. passed away on Wed., Aug. 21, 2013 at home surrounded by his family. Born to the late Beryl and Henry Peterson, of Wilmington, John attended Conrad High School and graduated from the University of Delaware. He retired from Delmarva Power and Light Company after almost 40 years of service, and later consulted with MPR and Associates in Alexandria, Va. John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Eleanor S. Peterson; two children, David Peterson of Landenberg, Pa, and Eric Peterson and his wife Rebecca of Stafford, Va; grandchildren, Delaney and Olivia; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, and co-workers. A visitation with the family will be held 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the McCrery & Harra Funeral Home, 3924 Concord Pike (Rt. 202, S. of Silverside Rd.), Wilmington, Del. 19803.
