DOVER - John E. Cullen of Dover passed away Saturday, Oct. 12, 2013 at home. He was 84. Mr. Cullen was born July 11, 1929 in Pennsylvania to the late James V. Cullen and Alberta Mumford Cullen. Mr. Cullen worked as a construction superintendent for J. Roland DeShields and Venables Construction. He retired in 1994. He enjoyed working in his garden and taking care of his home and family. John now joins the love of his life Phyllis who died April 2012. His life was never the same without her. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister, Rosemary Rose and her husband, Earl Rose; and his brother, James Cullen. He is survived by his four children, Michelle C. Williamson and her husband Kevin of New Jersey, John E. Cullen, Jr. of Milford, M. Kathleen Cullen of Dover, and Melissa A. Cullen of Dover; and his brother, Gerald Cullen. Private memorial services were held.
