FELTON - John E. Casanova died, Monday, Nov. 12, 2012 at Delaware Hospice Center. He was born in Tarrytown, N.Y., son of the late Eleodoro Casanova and Lena Carmen Casanova. He was a police officer in Tarrytown, N.Y. prior to retirement. He was a volunteer fireman, a member of the VFW and also the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Joyce; three children, Wayne Casanova, Wendy Akroyd and Cindy Fine; one sister, Filomena Simons; and seven grandchildren. Services will be private and burial will be at the Delaware Veterans Cemetery, Bear, DE. Arrangements handled by Berry Short Funeral Home, Felton, DE.
