John B. Watts, 90 DOVER - John B. Watts, of Dover, died Monday, July 21, 2008, in Kent General Hospital. He was 90. Mr. Watts was born Aug. 10, 1917, in Church Hill, Md. to the late Walter Watts and Martha Green Watts. He served in the United States Army Air Corps and the United States Air Force. Mr. Watts worked civil service until his retirement. He also owned and operated a convenience store west of Dover and a sandwich shop. Mr. Watts enjoyed fishing, baseball and football. He belonged to the VFW in Camden. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his first wife Norma J. Watts in 1988. He is survived by his second wife, Norma L. Sheldon Watts of Dover; son, Darrell Cannon of Ky.; three daughters, Teresa Cannon of Dover, Bernice Cannon and Sandra Stude both of Cincinnati, Ohio; brother-in-law, Alfred Anderson of Rehoboth; sister Ann Fowler of Wilmington; brother-in-law, Louis Sheldon of Cincinnati, Ohio and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday in Calvary Assembly of God Church, 1141 E. Lebanon Road (Route 10), Dover, DE 19901. Friends may call one hour prior. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery, Dover. Letters of condolence may be sent, and guestbook signed at torbertfuneral.com.
