DOVER - Johanna Hartman of Dover, formerly of Philadelphia, Pa., passed away on September 22, 2014 at Kent General Hospital in Dover at the age of 69. She was born July 31, 1945 in Philadelphia, the daughter of the late John and Margarette Moser. Johanna worked for several years at the Philadelphia Protestant Home and at Courtland Manor Nursing Home in Dover as an Activities Coordinator. But mostly Johanna was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, sewing, arts & crafts and visits with her grandchildren. Her favorite thing to do was talking. She was known to be quite a conversationalist and liked to keep in touch with her friends on the computer. Other favorites were camping with the Shanty Shakers, taking cruises, traveling, horseback riding, and shopping. Johanna was a Cub Scout Den Mother and a Boy Scout Leader. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and the Lioness Club. She is survived by her husband, Robert; her daughter, Carolyn and her husband John; her son, Robert, Jr. and his wife Cortny; and three grandchildren, Shauna, Samantha and Sawyer. A visitation will be 11 a.m., Friday, September 26, 2014 in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna. Memorial services will begin at 12 p.m. Burial will be private.
