SALISBURY - Joel Edgar Rayne Jr. died Aug. 23, 2017, at Coastal Hospice At The Lake, after a brief illness.
He was an active member of the Moose Lodge and worked for Evans Builders in Salisbury for over 20 years, retiring in 2012.
He is survived by his wife of 13 years, Charlotte Ann Rayne; his children Matthew Rayne of Hebron, Tracy Van Fossen of Berlin, Michele Lewis of Pittsville and Billy Lewis of Salisbury; his sisters and brothers, Betsy White of Pittsville, Josephine Knox of Fort Smith, Ark., Alice Kay Donoway of Salisbury and Edward Rayne of Laurel; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joel E. and Marie Davis Rayne; and two sisters, Hilda Shockley and Dorothy "Sister" Brittingham.
A service was held Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017, at Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury. Interment followed at Wicomico Memorial Park.
