FELTON - Joe Reid Blevins of Felton passed away on Monday March 16, 2015 at Delaware Hospice Center in Milford. He was 83. He was born February 23, 1932 to the late Eugene Clarence and Callie Mae (Bartlett) Blevins. He served in the US Army during the Korean War from 1952-1954. He was a professional truck driver from the age of 20. He was employed with George Transfer in Bear, Delaware for 24 years. He and his wife established their business, Blevins Trucking, in 1987. His hobbies included billiards, camping, and spoiling his beloved schnauzer, "Cindy". He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eugene, Billy, and J. Donald; and his sister, Maxine. He was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law, A. L. "Sarge" Webb. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Edna I. (Webb) Blevins of Felton; his daughter, Denise Jo Blevins of Dover; his daughter, Teresa Anne Cochran and her husband Norman Cochran, Sr. of Newark & Sun City Center, Fla.; his son, Joseph Reid Blevins and his wife Ada Blevins with daughters Eileen, Angie, Bobbie Jo, Diane and Jamie of Clayton; his daughter, Barbara Anne Eastburn and her husband Steven Eastburn with their daughters Alyssa, Mariah, Anna, Sarah, and Stephanie. He is also survived by his step-son, Adam Sobiech with his sons AJ and Danny and his wife Gayla; step-daughter, Lisa Beasley of West Virginia and her children, Tony and Tara; step-daughter, Edna Pearl Biddle and her children Michael and Michele and her husband Leonard Biddle. He was preceded in death by Edna Pearl Biddle's son, Eric. He is also survived by nine step great-grandchildren; his sisters-in-law, Betty Mae Webb & Ila Blevins; and many nieces and nephews Services will be 1 p.m., Thursday, March 19, 2015 at Pippin Funeral Home 119 W. Camden-Wyoming Ave. Wyoming, where friends may call after 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Smyrna. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations to the Delaware Hospice Center, 100 Patriots Way, Milford, DE 19963. Online condolences may be sent to www.pippinfuneralhome.com
