LAUREL - Joanna Juliet Wilkerson Starkey entered into eternal peace on Feb. 14, 2014. She was born on Oct. 8, 1957 in Salisbury, Md. Joanna is survived by her companion Joe Szczepanski of Laurel Delaware, her six children, Penny Dietrich and her partner Melinda Riddle of Pilot Mountain, North Carolina, Robert (Bobby) Wells of Emporia Virginia, William Grizzard and his partner Tom Miller of Richmond Virginia, Charlotte Koch and her husband Glen, Curtis (Eddie) Wells of Bath North Carolina, Rhonda Boone Elliott and her husband Kevin, six grandchildren, Robert, Michael, Kyla, Liam, Jonathan and Kassidy, two brothers John Wilkerson and Earl Taylor, four sisters Ruby Williamson, Janet Taylor, Noreen Doody, Williamanna Taylor and many nieces and nephews. Joanna is preceded in death by her father, John D. Wilkerson Sr.; mother, Charlotte Turpin Taylor; and sister, Jeanne Locklear. A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014 at Mount Pleasant Church, 33088 Mt Pleasant Rd, Laurel, DE.
