Joann Burton, 63

HURLOCK - Joann Burton, 63, passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2008 at Mallard Bay Care Center. She was born on Jan. 22, 1945 in Cambridge.

Joann was raised by Jimmy and Sadie Burton. After their passing, she was cared for by her sister, Sophie Tull.

Joann attended Chesapeake Adult Day Care Center in Easton. She enjoyed the outdoors, listening to her radio and records and playing bingo was her most favorite.

is survived by her sisters and brothers, Sophie Tull of Cabin Creek, Wanda Bloom of Cambridge, Patsy Era of Hurlock, Jimmy "Sarge" Saunders of East New Market, Phillip "Pedro" Burton Jr. of Hurlock, James "Peewee" Burton of Hurlock and Roland Burton of Hurlock, several nieces, nephews, cousins and a special friend Mabel.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at 1 p.m. at Thomas Funeral Home, P.A. in Cambridge with Mr. David Tolley officiating. Burial will follow at East New Market Cemetery. Friends may call during the hour preceding the service.

Pallbearers will be Pedro Burton, Roland Burton, Brian Burton, Mark Tull Jr., Jamie Burton and Michael Bell. Honorary pallbearers will be Norman Era III and Phillip Era.
