KENTON - Joan B. Austin, 82, of Kenton passed away peacefully Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013 morning at her home. Born December 5, 1930 in Philadelphia, Pa., the daughter of Chester and Nina Harden. Joan was raised in Glasgow and graduated from Middletown High School Class of 1950. She also graduated from Goldey-Beacom College. Joan began her Secretary and Bookkeeping career with Schoonover's in Odessa. Later she worked for over 25 years for Plant Engineering in Dover. She retired from Del-Tech after many years of service. She was preceded in death by her parents; and dearest mother and father in law Paul & Elizabeth Weigel. She is survived by her son, Charles E. Austin, Jr., and her grandson, Paul C Austin and his wife Jillian. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be sent to Kenton United Methodist Church, 74 W.
