Beavers, Sr., 77 CLAYTON - Jimmy Edward Beavers, Sr. of Clayton passed away Thursday September 19, 2013 at Kent General Hospital. He was 77. Mr. Beavers was born April 13, 1936 in Tazwell, Virginia to the late Roan Beavers and Annie Mabe Beavers, where he was one of 13 children. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for many years. Mr. Beavers had also worked for All Seasons Construction as superintendent for 25 years. He was a life member of the Silver Lake Fishing Club as well as being past President. Mr. Beavers enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, gardening going to turkey shoots, playing horseshoes and shooting pool. Mr. Beavers is survived by his wife of 40 years, Dreama Massey Beavers of Clayton; son, Jimmy E. Beavers, Jr. of Clayton; daughter, Tonda Beavers of Dover; brothers, Roger Beavers of Chesapeake City, Md. and Austin Beavers of Newark; sisters, Geraldine Waytt, Suzanne and Sylvia Beavers all of Elkton, Md.; and granddaughter, Madeline Grace Devine. Memorial services will be 12 p.m., Sunday September 22, 2013 at Torbert Funeral Chapel, 61 S. Bradford Street, Dover, De;. Friends may call one hour prior.
