GEORGETOWN - Jessie Woody of Georgetown, a beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 at home. Jessie was born in Spruce Pine, N.C., son of the late William J. and Etta (Pendley) Woody. Jessie was a building contractor. He is survived by his wife, Margaret "Peggy" (Lent) Woody; three children, Wanda and Vince Hasz, Michael and Veronica Woody, Raymond and Jen Woody; five grandchildren, Malaka Hasz, David Ransdell, Tony, Melissa and Nicole Woody; and two brothers, Roy and Joe Woody. A memorial service will be held at 11:30 a.m., Friday, Dec. 6, 2013 at the First Baptist Church, 20304 Dupont Highway, Georgetown, DE., with visitation after 11:00 a.m. Burial will immediately follow at Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Millsboro. Flowers are accepted or contributions can be made to the church. Arrangements in the care of Short Funeral Services, Georgetown.
