FRUITLAND - Jessalene Lewis Stanley died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at Coastal Hospice At The Lake in Salisbury. Born in Conway, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Isaac Tallie Lewis and Bertha Fleming Lewis. She worked as a seamstress at the former Manhattan Shirt Factory in Salisbury for 25 years. She attended Impact Church for over 50 years, where she taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, as well as cleaning the church each week and assisting with cooking church dinners. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Hal F. Stanley; and her brother, Tolar Lewis. She is survived by her sons, Francis Earl Stanley of Gumboro and Christopher Lewis Stanley of Fruitland; four grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; two step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandson. A funeral service was held Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, Impact Church in Fruitland. Entombment was in Wicomico Memorial Park in Salisbury. Arrangements are in the care of Holloway Funeral Home in Salisbury.
