SMYRNA - Jerry Lee Wilson, Jr. of Smyrna, passed away on December 19, 2014. He was 39 years old. He was born October 26, 1975 in Wilmington, the son of the late Jerry Lee Wilson, Sr. and Lee Wilson who resides in Smyrna. Jerry worked for Mumford and Miller Construction of Middletown. He was the owner and founder of Delaware Premier Outdoorsman. Jerry loved his family and enjoyed spending time with them. He was also an avid bass fisherman, enjoyed hunting and the outdoors. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, James A. Malin; and his aunts, Linda Jo Stinson and Suzie Edminsten. He is survived by his loving wife, Melissa; two sons, Dylan Michael Wilson and Jerry Joseph "JJ" Wilson, both of Smyrna; his mother, Lee Wilson and her partner William "Bill" Batting of Smyrna; his brother, Jody Lee Wilson, his wife, Rhonda and their sons, David and Shayne, all of Smyrna; and many extended family members and friends. A viewing will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Friday, December 26, 2014 in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St. in Smyrna, where Funeral Services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to Melissa for JJ's future college expenses. Condolence letters may be sent by visiting www.fariesfuneralhome.com.
