CLAYTON - Jerry L. Stanton passed away on Tuesday, Oct. 9, 2012. Jerry was born Dec. 30, 1959 in Elkton, Md., the son of John Stanton of Clayton and Thelma A. Stewart of Goshen, Ala. He was a Truck Driver who enjoyed watching NASCAR and camping, fishing, and boating in his spare time. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his son, Christopher Ruff of Odessa; two brothers, John W. Stanton of Clayton and Woodrow W. Stanton of Elkton; two sisters, Sharon Kleinfelter of Palmyra, Pa., and Shirley L. Pennington of Clayton; and extended family members. A visitation for family and friends will be held on Monday, Oct. 15, 2012 from 10 to 11 a.m. in the Faries Funeral Chapel, located at 29 S. Main St., Smyrna.
