Jennifer "Jenny" Towers, of Sanford, Fla. and formerly of Bridgeville, Del., passed away on Saturday, Nov. 18th, 2017 with her family at her side at the Florida Hospital Altamonte in Altamonte Springs, Fla., from Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). She was born in Milford, Del. on June 10, 1966, daughter of the late Charles Walton Smith, Jr., and Marjorie Wingate Smith.
Jenny graduated from Woodbridge Junior/Senior High School, Class of 1984. She then graduated in 1987 from MacQueen Gibbs Willis School of Nursing in Easton, Md.
She was the mother of three grown children, Andrew (Ajani), Jessica, and Ryan (Bonnie); sister to, Tom (Bonnie), Susan Hayes (Bob), Charles (Lynn); and twin brother, Matt (Sherri); as well as aunt to numerous nephews and nieces. She also leaves behind her companion, and friend, Steve Koka.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, Dec. 4th, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Parsell Funeral Home & Crematorium, Hardesty Chapel, 202 Laws Street, Bridgeville, DE 19933, where friends may call beginning at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow services at the Bridgeville Cemetery.
