OCEAN CITY - Jeffery Wade "Hair Bear" Harris Sr. died suddenly Friday, March 2, 2007.
He attended public schools in Dorchester County. He served three years in the United States Navy and received an honorable discharge.
He was an avid waterman in Dorchester and Wicomico counties. At the time of his death he was employed on a charter boat in Ocean City.
He is survived by his mother, Leona Windsor of San Antonio, Texas; two sons, Jeffery Wade Harris Jr., son of Kerry Laird and his companion, Sharon Diaz of Cambridge and Harley Wade Harris of Iuka, Kan; one daughter, Haley Renee' Harris, daughter of Diana Harris (Prahl) of Crapo; two grandchildren, Dominic Junito Diaz and Jescina Anis Harris, both of Cambridge; one stepbrother, Samuel Windsor of Salisbury; two stepsisters, Jo Pat of Salisbury and Marty Blose of San Antonio, Texas, and a special lifetime friend, William Clyde "Binky" Robinson II
Services will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Burbage Funeral Home in Berlin.
