HARTLY - Jeffrey Howard Cox passed at his home in Hartly, Delaware on June 24, 2014. He was born August 9, 1966 to the late Howard Cox and Emma (Rosengren) Cox of Hartly. After graduating from Dover High School in 1984, he began a working career that included roles in several industries: farm equipment, engine repairs, and moisture control. Jeff simply loved to work. He was also passionate about fishing, boating, and just being on the water. He was a life-long resident of Hartly and loved being a part of the Hartly community. He is survived by his two sons, Ryan Cox and Justin Cox of Hartly; his sister Becky McVan, brother-in-law Thomas McVan and nephew Conor McVan of Rock Hall, MD; and also his wife and step-children Lauryn Overstreet Cox, Chad Lance, MaryKathryn Overstreet, Joshua Overstreet, and Jacob Overstreet all of Cambridge, MD. The family would like to sincerely convey their gratitude and appreciation to all those who, in many countless ways, expressed their sympathy in our time of bereavement, and to friends and relatives for their acts of kindness at this difficult time. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at the Hartly Fire Hall on Tuesday, July 8, at 6:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Elizabeth W. Murphy School via contact@murpheyschool.org. Letters of condolences may be sent to www.traderfh.com or www.delmarvaobits.com
