Janice H. Mitchell

HARRINGTON - Janice H. Mitchell died Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Bay Health in Dover. Born in Houston, Del., Janice was the daughter of the late Elmer Harrington and Hazel Adams Harrington Harrell. She was a 1956 graduate of the Harrington High School and had lived in the Harrington area all of her life. Janice loved her home, taking pictures, country music, collecting light houses, and dancing, and her son Alan's dog, Buddy. But, most of all, she loved her family. She and her husband, Lewis L. Mitchell of Harrington, had been married for 53 years. In addition to her husband, Janice is survived by two sons, Terry L. Mitchell and his wife Shirley of Houston and Alan E. Mitchell of Greensboro, Md.; and one grandson, Collin L. Mitchell of Houston. She is preceded in death by two step sons, Clifton S. Mitchell of Ridgely and Ronald W. Mitchell of Denton; and a sister, Joyce L. Harrington. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013 at the Moore Funeral Home, 12 S. Second St., Denton, Md., where friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service. The interment will be in the Greensboro Cemetery in Greensboro, MD.
