LINCOLN - Janet L. Mitchell, 76, of Lincoln, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the Delaware Hospice Center, Milford. Janet was born in Milford, the daughter of the late Henry Owens and Elizabeth (Grant) Lofland. She was a graduate of Milford High School class of 1956 and attended the Milford School of Nursing. Janet worked as a private duty nurse for several doctors in the Milford area throughout her career, retiring in 1993. She loved to sing and to knit and was a member of the Delaware Choral Society for several years as well as a member of the Lincoln United Methodist Church. She is survived by her husband Donald J. Mitchell; and a son, Donald L. Mitchell. Services and burial will be private at the convenience of the family. Arrangements by Lofland Funeral Home, Milford.
